Fair enough, just wait and see when you get married...
Analysis points on Game 2:
- The opening went well for both sides
- 19.f5 was a mistake, after 20...exf5 21.Qxf5 Ne3 goes up the exchange for Black, but this was missed by both sides
- 21...Nxd1? was a mistake by Black, after 22.exf7+ taking with the rook is forced (otherwise White mates with 22...Kh8 23.Ng6+ Kh7 24.Nxf8+ Kh8 25.Qh7#); 21...fxe6 was much better and still leaves the position reasonably equal
- 25.Qf3+ was an inaccuracy by White, because it leaves the kingside pawns weak, but I wanted the queens off the board in time trouble to make it a bit easier for myself
- White should have played hxg6+ at either move 31 or 32, draws the black king away from the action and the tension around the rooks
- 38.cxb4 was much better for White; Black should have replied to Kg3 with cxb4 and that gives Black a big advantage
- After 41.Kxh2, it's pretty much game over for Black
Is this game 4? http://www.chess.com/livechess/game?id=1366446012
Yes it was.
I never posted game 3 either, so here are games 3 and 4:
Match score is currently 3-1 to me. We won't be playing tonight, so Game 5 is scheduled for Saturday.

Thomas is probably too nice to post this poor moment of mine for all to see. So I'll go ahead and post it. Good news is I probably won't fall for this again for a really long time.
Game 5:
It's not an immediately obvious trap, with the queen sort of hidden behind the knight so that you don't see the e2 pawn is pinned if the knight were to move away. I've played it many times before (once even OTB in a classical time control tournament), so you're not the first to fall foul to it, and probably (and hopefully
) not the last!
Here's what probably should have been played in that position:
The Budapest can often result in some quite tactical positions, and sometimes an interesting game However, it's not mainly played by top GM's (probably because of the many lines where Black gives up the bishop pair), so it's not too popular. But it's still fun :)
And we are off!
