I won this game, but I want to see if there's better moves I could have made, and why. Also, what moves should my opponent have played to avoid checkmate and not lose material? I'm playing as black, by the way. Thank you for any help in advance!

The best advice I can give you is to do your own analysis first, post it and let others comment on it. Having someone else do the work for you is like getting the answers to the test. Yes you will get 100%, but you will not learn anything.

If you dont know how to analyze a game, then keep it simple:

1. Did you follow opening principles?

2. What were your ideas, thoughts, feelings during each phase of the game.

3. What was your opponent trying to do?

OK, thank you! So, I tried to self-analyze my game. Here it is.

Excuse any spelling errors or grammatical mistakes I might have in my comments.

Very well done! Most people don't like putting themselves out there online due to what some will say. I think you did very well considering your rating.

Use game review?

Thats like being given the answers to a test and bragging you got 100%. Now throw in the fact that you didn't learn anything because you put in ZERO effort.

The OP keeps doing what he is doing and he will rocket past the person that just uses game review.
