Blundered my queen in classical. Came back and won. Check it out.

This was a very sloppy game on my part - while losing the queen was my only blunder/mistake (which was a mouse slip) I did commit a handful of inaccuracies.

Yeah. On Lichess, 8/0 is considered “classical”. Next troll thread!

Why does everyone always have to be so snarky and rude? Rudeness doesn't make you witty or special - people like you are literally a dime a dozen. That type of behavior comes so easy. Patience and kindness take effort - weak minded people have none of this.

LosingAndLearning81

30/0 is rapid, not classical. The reason it's considered classical is because the time control was 30:60 (custom). A 50 move game would be 80 minutes for each player. I have no idea why it says 30/0 but I assure you that is incorrect.

It happens sometimes. I get really, really salty about resigning threads, firstly, because they’re dumb (just resign whenever you want to, your opponent won’t care), and secondly because I live in a non-chess household and as a result, I went through a lot of crap even getting certain people to let me resign games when I wanted to.

I can sympathize with you about the household situation - when I talk chess to my family I might as well be speaking Vulcan. I am a little confused though about the "resigning thread" comment - this thread was about losing a queen and still winning. Of course I may have misunderstood - if that's the case, then my bad.

Why would you make a comment like that in the first place? Don't turn it around on me - I posted a game of mine that I simply wanted to share, with lichess.org clearly written in the game's header, and you felt the need to declare that it wasn't my game. I'm sorry, but that was naive. And to follow it up with, "for all I know you could just be making this up" doesn't exactly fly.  I mean, that can apply to anyone on the internet posting games. But what makes you think I'm trying to convince you of anything, anyway? If you wish to think that I'm "making it up" then go right ahead. But I do think that if I were going to lie about a game and say it's mine, I would post something where the winner made better moves than what I made in that game.

But maybe you were just messing around and didn't mean anything by it - after all, you did use the XD symbol. If that's the case, then I apologize. Sometimes it's hard to determine motive from text.

Forgive and forget?

Nothing to forgive - you did nothing wrong. Just a misunderstanding on my part. Take care.

Answering the first half of this quote because the format is really inconvenient: Yeah, and the worst thing is when you resign a game and they start bitching and moaning about “quitters” and “learning some perseverance”. As for why I got salty at this thread: Threads like this can easily be followed up by “and this is why you should never resign”.  Well, I will resign whenever I want to, because my parents almost ripped my chess life apart because I resigned a scholastic game down a piece in the opening when I was about 1100 strength.

I’m truly sorry for snapping at the wrong person on the wrong thread. I’m just absolutely sick and tired of all the BS around resignation.

No offence LosingandLearining81, but how on Earth could you blunder your queen like that in a CLASSICAL game???

Again, no offence, I am just a curious person.

Like he said, it was a mouse slip.

LosingAndLearning81, I can't speak for everyone (as not everyone appears to share my view) - but I appreciate you showing your game. I have similar experiences (several over the board) where I came back from a blunder too. Mouse-slips happen to everyone online every now and then, but mistakes always creep in, over the board or not; I am glad to see you not only continue the game, but even to win from a situation most give up in. Continue in future scenerios similar to how you did here and hope that mouse-slips do not occur again. Thanks for sharing this comeback game, I enjoyed it. Additionally, it is nice to see a game posted where the player is not either bragging or asking for help with no analysis/starting point. Thank you for posting this game.
