Can you counter Queen Trades?

Namely that 11. Nc7+????????? drops a piece for nothing just to avoid a queen trade that is good for White anyway.

ThrillerFan escribo #40 12 hrs ago <<<This thread is asinine! There's a simple solution (barring immediate tactics). If his queen is active, and yours is passive, or if you have a space disadvantage, let him trade! It only helps you! If your queen is more active than his, or if you have a huge space advantage and he is suffocating, don't trade! Move away!>>>
It's a bit more complex than that. Sometimes, you might have an active queen and yet it's the opponent's Q that is defending key squares. So without queens on, your minor pieces can penetrate and create better threats. It's often a good attacking move to trade queens, I find, leading to a winning ending.
HENCE THE COMMENT IN PARENTHESIS - BARRING IMMEDIATE TACTICS!!!!
Many people on here clueless as to what tactics are. Not all tactics are forcing the win of material. A tactic is a short sequence of forced or semi-forced moves that lead to a positive achievement for one side. A tactic doesn't have to be the win of a knight (or any other piece or pawn). A tactic could be a forced sequence that leads to a dead-won endgame. That endgame may take 40 moves to execute, and you have to be accurate in the technical phase of the game, but simply forcing the queens off in a scenario where his choices are trade the queens and enter a dead lost endgame or not trade queens and lose a Knight, that's still a tactic even though you didn't win the Knight.
So what you just said confirms my original statement!

Here is your loss against patricio. Thank me later.

You are responding to a 6 year old post, and the OP hasn't been here in over 3 years, but otherwise, shhhhh.

k lol
Patrico, I briefly analysed a lot of your games with cht (a bit painfully) and he's completely exaggerating. The majority of the games end in either both queens on the board or only one queen on the board and when you do trade queens, it is generally unintended.
