I think you missed a nuance in the opening. One of the points of the accelerated dragon is that you keep the possibility of playing d5 is one go. When you payed 6...d6, you ended up transposing into a standard Dragon, Yugoslav Variation. Not necessarily a mistake, but probably not what you wanted. 6...Nf6 is the overwhelming choice in that position.
After 9.O-O-O, the dynamic 9...d5 is the most popular choice by a wide margin. But I think you would need to know that variation pretty well to try it
Throughout this game, I felt that I was completely beaten positionally. If it were not for my opponents only and last blunder, I would have resigned right at the end. My biggest problem throughout was not knowing what to do, I personally couldn't find any weaknesses in his position and doing cheap tricks would only hurt me in the long run since this was a classical game.
One of the biggest questions that arises from this game is, what do you do when you don't know what to do? I don't want to rely on cheap tricks to win my game like in this one, what can I do like in this game to understand what is positionally correct?
