That's very interesting. I restarted the software and the issue seems to have disappeared. I did the same obvious steps to have a game analysis and this time it worked.
How to run a game analysis on Chessmaster XI
is the chessmaster analysis useful?
It is for amateurs, like me, because it doesn't use mainly technical codes. It uses otherwise, a plain spoken language and texts to tell you what was your mistake and what would be the best or better move in a given situation.
It's an easy fix, it's just that chess master doesn't reset the board to the first move when the analysis is complete, so when it completes your analysis, you can't hit play, because in so far as the game is concerned, it's at the check-mate, so you can't go forward ,since the game is at the end.
Simply click your first move in the Game Status window, and it works the way you'd expect. You can then play through the analysis from the Start.
I'm am amateur too, hoping chess master would help me out (with the lessons and all.) It feels very buggy, I sometimes have pieces disappear on me, and the PGN notation gets screwy.

I've also had the problem that whan I manually step through the game to review it after it ends, and hit "Analyse game" when I am only stepped partway through the game, that the analysis only runs from that move onwards; none of the earlier moves are analysed. This might be a bug or it might be a feature, but you probably want to watch out for it.

Thanks! :)
This is the last version of this series and I'm running it fully patched/up to date.
The problem is that when I want to analyze a game I click on "Analyze this game" in the window that appears right after the end of a game. Then it asks me how many seconds I want per move and I leave it as default (10 seconds). Then a new window appears and says "Analyzing game X% complete" (or something like that) and when the game is fully analyzed (100% complete) another window appears and says "Analysis complete. Use the Annotation Window together with the Game Status Window to view the analysis results and corresponding annotations".
I can't just start the analysis because the "start", "pause" buttons are greyed out (unavailable).
So far, the best I could do is to go on "Training Mode", load my game and go on the "Mentor" (in the menu bar) and hit "Game Analysis...". So I have to choose how many seconds per move and wait for the analysis to be 100% complete all again. In this "Training Mode" I already have both Annotation Window and also the Game Status Window open. But the "play" button on the Annotation Window is still greyed out. and when I press the "start" button on the "Game Status Window" the analysis starts but the pieces on the board don't move, they don't follow the analysis and its annotations!
So if anyone here who have this Chessmaster XI and can use it to analyze games please tell me step-by-step how do you do.
By the way, by analyzing a game I mean to get tips and explanations of what were my mistakes during the game, what should I have done in a certain move, etc.
