Hello, im new to chess.com, and i am posting here my second game. I have played a little chess in the past and have watched some good videos and learned a bit, and am looking for some feedback on this game, here is my move by move thoughts followed by the game itself, 30 minute rapid standard game: M 1: Queens pawn opening, not much to say here M 2: labeled as inaccuracy, tbh Im not too familiar with openings and thought it attacks squares that discourage knight g5 and e5 M 3: developed other knight for more control on board center M 4: Moved pawn for same reason and pawn structure i think M 5: I reciprocated capture, honestly dont think i spent a lot of time on this move. M 6: bishop move to develop center and relieve pressure on e5 pawn M 7: Queen move to avoid bishop M 8: threatened said bishop M 9: knight move to develop center and threaten queen M 10: gave bishop some breathing space and opportunity to threaten queen on future turn M 11: labeled as inaccuracy, thought process was to let rook cover my bishop if it decides to move to a6 M 12: threatened knight, it labeled this move as best but i have no idea why M 13: pawn revenge captures w knight M 14: put pressure on w queen with pawn M 15: First mistake label, honestly dont know why i did this move or why its a mistake M 16: labeled as inaccuracy, wanted to threaten bishop while still covering a5 pawn M 17: first blunder, rook lost M 18: pushing pawn to pressure near w king M 19: same as last move M 20: pawn exchange M 21: youve activated my trap card, i checked with queen M 22: allows me to threaten queen after future knight move M 23: w pawn blunders, i push knight to add pressure on white bishop and simultaneously threaten queen M 24: took enemy queen with knight, labeled as inaccuracy, i wanted to maintain queens hold on white bishop pinned on king Opponent resigns [Event " vs. Gowther32"] [Site "Chess.com"] [Date "2021-11-05"] [White ""] [Black "Gowther32"] [Result "0-1"] [WhiteElo "686"] [BlackElo "770"] [TimeControl "standard"] [Termination "Gowther32 won by resignation"] 1. d4 d5 2. Since most people can't just read a whole game score without a board, few people will review your game presented that way.

You should post the game using the game editor.

2..f6 weakens your king position. Your king position was very weak later in the game. You made no moves to prepare castling.

You were getting crushed before 23.. b4, which made it impossible to defend against Nd4, which threatened mate and also opened a discovery on his queen.

Your opponent should not have resigned after losing his queen.

Thank you, although I have no idea how to post the game using game editor. Im using mobile app. I am very much aware that I was playing a losing battle and that I would have lost had the opponent not resigned. I am more interested in the "why" in regards to the getting crushed as youve very eloquently worded, prior to the 23. b4 blunder

You have to use the website to post games. I use a mobile browser to post games using the website.

There is a way to do it on the mobile app, at least for Android. Since the daily tournaments page is just an embedded website, you can access the rest of the chess.com website from there. That's what I'm doing right now, actually.

2...f6!? weakened your king.  4...e5!? lost you a pawn. That's where everything seems to have stemmed from. Throughout the game it looked kind of like your were doing a decent job of controlling the center. But you lost a pawn on the sixth move. 15..g5!? Left the b-pawn hanging. Don't hang pieces or weaken your king. Develop pieces. Those are commonly said, but cannot be emphasized enough.

Or maybe they can.

Best of luck!

Let me see if I can do this correctly,

Idk if that works, but for this I am mostly curious on why moving my queen up was considered a blunder, how that couldve been taken advantage of, and what I couldve done better on my assault on king

3...Nxe4 is a free pawn
4 Nxe5 is a free pawn
10 Qxb7? is premature, first 10 Nbd2 is stronger: the knight Nd2 will help defend
10...Nbd7? is too slow: 10...Bxf3 shatters the pawn defence of his king
11 Qb3? does not defend: 11 Nbd2 protects defender Nf3 and keeps the pawn shelter intact
11...Bxf3 shatters the pawn defence of his king
13 Nd2 defends everything
15...Qd6 wins as it prevents the defence Bf4
16 Bf4 defends everything
