Hello,
First off, I have no idea why my text is centered in the middle :P
But anyway, here's a game I just finished where I felt I slowly made mistakes until I came to a point where I thought I had screwed myself up.  Is this a result of poor opening?  Lazy midgame?  I pulled it off at the end, but I don't think I should have been in that position in the first place.  Please weigh in with your opinions, but keep in mind I am a 1300 player and this is my first time posting a game...thanks a lot I appreciate all you players who have taken your game to a beyond casual level and are still considerate enough to offer your knowledge to those of us who are amatuers at best :)

Your opening was excellent, except 7. Be2, Bd3 was better. His was sloppy, he wasted too many moves.

10. Bxf6!? You exchange a weak bishop for a not so strong knight. Would be justified if you hadn't made his bishop stronger in the process.

13. Rfe1 a good developing move that would of been better had you played correctly on move 7. You could have done 14. e4 and won his bishop or d pawn

21. Re4? Your "ridiculos" pawns are the pieces you should be looking for a win with! 21. Rd1 Qc7 Nd5! and you are winning. Remeber that these are called passed pawns and are far more valueable then regular pawns.

The rest of the game is your opponent ignoring his king safety and naturally, losing.

You say toe-may-toe, I say toe-mah-toe.

You say you were losing, I say you were winning.

Kingfisher, if he plays 21. Rd1 it would be easier to answer Bxd1 instead of Qc7. He had advantage there and may be 20. d6+! would work even better - those pawns would be hard to stop.

Nice attack, by the way.

I guess I felt I couldn't support both the pawns correctly, and I was just lucky that he didn't have his rooks in the right place.  Plus he had a bishop and I had a knight

I'm not good enough to comment on your game, but regarding your centered text, my guess taht because you set the board to be centered in the middle, the text goes along with it...just a guess.

That was a nice game.  I liked the tempoing going on.

10. Bxf6 if you were going to do this you should have done it instead of moving the B back on the previous move.  This just lost a tempo.

21. Why a losing position?  You could lose both those pawns and stll be ok.  His doubled pawns weaken him.

23. Nd5! you call this losing?

25. Nf6!  Nice one.  Two ways to kill it, and he can't

26. Qh3!  You show him not one, but both of your rooks are disposable!
