What a riot!

I am really posting this game for archival purposes, because I know that I will probably never win a game like this again.

shuttlechess92

beautiful, and way to sac teh queen.

shiggsyo

What a BRILLIANT queen sacrafice! Genius I say...

The_Pitts

yes, very nice!

sacrifices are always great!

what was the time control?

dwaxe

Incredible. Just awesome.

LoneWolfEburg

Well, that's a classic example. And anyway, a queen sacrifice where you can win without it is slightly "phony".

It was either a 3 minute or 5 minute game.

It just shows that 4. Nf3 has to be played, otherwise don't take the two pawns! :-)

White can take the pawns, but white's 4th move MUST be correct.

Within the various lines of From Gambit, there are two troublesome responses to 4. Nf3.  One is 5...Bg4 with the intention of plucking off that knight. Two (my favorite) is 5...g5 with the intention of pushing the knight away with 6...g4. In either case, black wants to get in Qh4+ before white castles.

I believe that a good 4th move for white would be 4. g3. That should hold black off for a while, and give white some time for queenside development.
