it seems like bigger issue was that your opponent kept moving queen rather than develop other pieces. I looked at Game Explorer and there are several games won by black that start out with the early Queen move; however, they continue to develop other pieces. I am no expert, but what little I know is that you should only move your pieces once each during the first 6-9 moves.

yes, the message is clear - the queen is far too precious to move out and allow your opponent's pieces to come out with a tempo on it - it is best to develop the other pieces first!
