It's funny how you switch (in the notes) from mutually blundering the exchange plus a pawn (really, the entire position) for a couple of moves - to a refined positional discussion of a good vs. a bad bishop, and problems in development... :-) !!!!!

I also loved the finish - you certainly understood what went on in this game better than your adversary.

I opened your standings page - but only saw your previous match, which ended 13:8, not the current one. So I still don't know the result.

I know that you won games 1 and 3 - but I don't know what happened in game 2.

It was a draw.

For a change!

<Pulpofeira> Right :-)

No offense... I'm just being objective :-)

Besides - I would love to see your own annotations.

You learn and improve when you annotate - and besides, you can get valuable feedback on your annotations.

Thanks, yes, I'll try when I have a chance. I've played five rated OTB standard games last season and I still haven't find time to annotate them. :(

Hmm, thanks for reporting this "bug". Annoying. Looks like I'll have to change the link somehow if possible. For now, you can change between the tabs below the charts, and click on #BCM2 to see it.

[Spoiler alert!] - Computer analysis. I basically played a perfect game without those bumps/bunch of blunders at the beginning. Tough one for Daniel. Next game tomorrow morning? 6:30 am? Smile P.s: "STANDINGS" link now repaired.

Mmm, I thought 14. ...f5 was a mistake.

Why I'm not able to find appropriate forum topic? Undecided

<MSC157> that's fair enough :-) I tend to miss tabs in spreadsheets. I'll go take a look then :-)

[Spoiler alert!] - Computer analysis. Martin0 said it right. Pulpofeira was winning at one point. Overall, quite tough pawn ending. I think I spent 5 minutes on 36...f4 and... It's rapid. Smile

My guess was that white was just winning if he played something like the line below. I can't say I see any way for black to not lose there. Also during the analysis after the game I didn't see any way for white to win after 37.h4. I thought black would have at least a draw after 37...g4 and somehow missed that after 38.exf4 exf4 the kingside pawns are blocked and white will win by start running the a-pawn. For some reason I looked at 39.fxg4 hxg4 which gives problems for white.
