Exactly, DaBigOne.  And as explained earlier and more recently, thread was in response to 2 earlier threads advocating abolition of stalemate.  It was possibly tongue in cheek, it certainly was not by anyone wanting stalemate abolished.  I think what it has shown is that the majority of chessplayers who could be bothered to respond have no interest in changing the rule.  The pointless thread is the other main one going at moment demanding that stalemate be abolished because its OP was daft enough to draw two games by stalemate.

I for one, think stalemate should be abolished. I see no logical reason for it to be kept. If you can't move, you've lost.
