Americans suck at chess...why?

This may be a weird point but a point none the less. Hear me out. The cognitive ability of Americans may be weighed down by their diet (just a theory I, a random person on the internet came up with in 3 seconds, that you can choose to ignore).
Also Russians have through history been a tough nation mentally and physically. I have to admit some of the things Russians can endure are quite amazing. I mean, have you seen their swimming in freezing water it's mind blowing? Also the average person has to be innovative to survive. Take Russian truckers for example. They have to go through rivers and all matter of things. And they have to have self reliance if something breaks. This is the country that brought you magnetic suspension remember( LOL ).
This goes beyond trucks and to the average person. This isn't even taking account of their rich culture that has been developing for 450 years plus opposed to America which is a fairly recent country.
This could be a reason. JK funny tho.
