Bishops vs. Knights

I know this topic has been discussed quite a bit already, with the general conclusion that it all depends on the position. But I wanted to put a new spin on the bishop-vs-knight debate. Consider this:

Who would win, assuming the best possible moves are made by both sides? Personally, I favor the Black knights, but what does everyone else think? (Maybe someone could get an engine  to analyze the position or something.)

My guess would be the bishops...

Interesting question.

My money is on the bishops, because the knights in the back would use up a bunch of tempo to get up to the center and into the game. Also since there are plenty of dark and light squared bishops they cover eachother's weaknesses.

edit: In fact, because the bishops have such strong batteries and there are pieces hanging in the start position, I think white may have a forced win. Right now, black was eight knights hanging and the only way to save them is to counterattack, which fails because the batteries defend themselves as well as they attack.

Well the knights can gain some valuale tempi in the beggining with some checks thrown in, but as the position opens up the bishops become the dominant pieces, winning eventually, in my mind.

Also bishops are alot easier to checkmate with.

If you're going to do a bishops vs. knights battle, then this would be a good place to start. I think that the following position is about even:
