there are ways to spicy things up.
for example you can delay castle and answer to the pin with h6 and g5, then castling queenside.
Or either player can use the fork trick to take on e4/e5.
But yeah, one of the reasons I play the sicilian is that I like asymmetrical and unbalanced positions.
d4 loses the pawn.
Copy Cat! You can't stand for a copy cat in your game. Punish them. lol
Play something else there is many more options to choose
Although it's slightly different this reminded me of a Capablanca game vs a copycat just to show that if you're paying attention, the better player will still win.
If you don't like the Four Knights Game since you consider it boring, then play Halloween Gambit / Reversed Halloween Gambit 
Technically unsound, but just fine at a club level, and certainly fun. Oftentimes after some moves in, White has excellent development and Black has precisely none. A computer wouldn't analyse it as advantageous for White, or even equal, but you are not a computer and neither is your opponent (usually).
This opening drives me nuts!!
