Bots are rated too high?

Why are the bots rated so high? I beat can beat a 1400 almost every time and have beat a 1600 bot(skyweb) but am only rated 650 in rapid? Are the bots overrated compared to humans? By the way, it took me less than 15 minutes to beat skyweb, so it was about the time of a rapid game

Aaron11052009

I  beat Skywest in 3 min but have less rating than Martin is 3/0 blitz. I also beat Martin with a pawn before.

sniperoyal

Yes, bots are overrated

Augurjaern

Just find a glitch I am also 900 and defeated mittens with a glitch

WASecretHO

Under 2000 bots are all -300 elo at least

Finsharkotter

i'm 1000 and and can CRUSH 1500 rated bots

Finsharkotter

neither can i (at least if i'm not playing 1 min bullet on the computer vs. the bot)

Chuck639

You guys are strong players.

I have difficulty with the 1600 bots.

jfp4

I can defeat bots 400 points over my rating

TechNickleNFT
I don’t know. I’m not great but I can beat a 600 but stall in ranked.

Skyweb ("1600") isn't trivial but it seems to have an atrocious end game.  Overall it's definitely inferior to a typical 1600 human player.

aoidaiki

I beat the 2700 first try so... yes, rated way too high.

beastmode1106

My ELO is 840 but i can't beat skyweb(1600).

player12231112223

Im 544

Aaron11052009

im rated 100 but beat 2000 bots with ease

kurikael

Those beginner's bots... for example Aron (700)... Average human player with same same rating usually don't play so like they do (take my pieces fast and free, I want to be checkmated)

Try beating Antonio (1500) on a high end desktop with multicore AVX2 CPU.

Tablets, phones, older laptops and desktops, cannot run chess engines properly. CPUs with special instruction sets (AVX/AVX2) are needed.

On a proper system, these bots play a bit stronger than FIDE ratings. Which is expected from a computer. You know that computers are now better in chess than humans?

2700 elo players do not have sub-70% accuracy... That happens mostly in 1000-1200 Elo range. That "2700 bot" played worse than Nelson, on a good CPU. You don't see such bad play in OTB tournaments, I think such players are not even allowed.
