I don't believe you can. It is not like the witch. You can go through the spirit. It does not say that you can move through a piece that is being possessed. Actually, it does not even say that you can go through the spirit at all!
It is not legal. From the rules:

The spirit is transparent to friendly pieces, but nowhere in the rules is it stated that it gives transparency to a piece it posses, so it is safe to assume it does not give any transparency to pieces it possess. If you want clarifications on this, the best member to ask is the inventor, which I believe is @HorribleTomato. I actually have no experience with this piece. Also, here is a little quote for him where he mentions a possessed piece is not transparent when discussing how a spirit adds value to a piece:

Moving 23...dc5 instead of Bb8 would have been exciting.
As far as I see white must trade queen+spirit against 2 rooks which should be really good for black.
If white manages to coordinate his pieces, then sure that might be true. I'm not convinced that is the case though and the spirit is really scary when it comes to helping to promote pawns.
