but why not? as far as im concerened a masters a master. no diff. between a IM and a GM. and 2131 = master .
You can if u try. You only need to register FIDE membership at your national chess federation and win some fide rated otb tournaments
I think you need 2200 on national rating to be a NM, and the title doesn't even exists in some countries.
A rock solid FIDE 2131 would statistically take 1 game in 16 against one of the lower rated grandmasters or one game in 8 against one of the lower rated IMs. I've never heard of elomaster.
If you can win the continental championship AND have a FIDE rating of at least 2300 at some time then you could get GM as a direct title (doing something like winning the World Senior would also work as well as winning the continental championship). Otherwise you need a 2500 FIDE rating and three solid GM norms (very strong performance playing in an especially large Swiss tournament where you could play some GMs or in a round robing where you do play a minimum number of GMs - the lower the average rating of that tournament, the better you have to do).

im perdy sure i could win the world senior easy peasy. i beat my grandad at chess, old men aint too good at chess lol.
Chess.com rating < FIDE rating
2100 = NM
2200 = CM
2300 = FM
2400 = IM
2500 = GM
so im a NM basically?
Chess.com rating < FIDE rating
2100 = NM
2200 = CM
2300 = FM
2400 = IM
2500 = GM
NM is not a FIDE title. It is USCF.

NM requires an in-person rating of 2200+ for US Chess, not 2100. FIDE is the world organization with international titles. the US Chess Federation is a national organization. An on-line 2131 in some other system might be anywhere from 1400 to 2200 depending on the system. I've never heard or elomaster before so I have no idea how that ties out and I don't know if any confidence can be placed in its accuracy or what its ratings would translate to.
I do know of chess coaches that would have parents happy when their teaching of kids (with multiple activities they participated in) took them from 200 to 500 in a couple months and then from 500 to 800 in a couple more months, somewhat happy when they then went from 800 to 1000 in a couple more months, a bit perturbed when they then only went from 1000 to 1100 in a couple more months and disappointed when they then only went to 1200 in a couple more months The parents wanted to see the continual big jumps (300 per step or from 200 to 1700 in ten months), so some coaches stopped rating games and focused the parents only on the competition performances while other coaches found measurement systems that would continue to give the big jumps.
By the way, you can work on becoming a grandmaster but I would not count on any estimate of your strength other than a FIDE (or USChess or some other robust national system) rating that might give you a vague or inaccurate or inflated estimate of your strength.

I am guessing you are joking here. If you are not then you have a very, very long road ahead of you.

It's not too difficult to score high on such a test ... just ponder different moves until you find the solution.
But in a real chess game, the positions are often muddy and complicated. Sometimes there is no clear solution to be found. Sometimes your position is worse, not better.
My main point: being able to find good moves in superior positions is a useful skill. But being able to create superior positions, from the opening move and onward, is another skill entirely ...

so 'elometer' is basically a puzzle rating?
