E.g.
@Lagomorph. You have an English flag. What does the question mean in English?
it is possible with two bishops and i believe it is possible with a bishop and knight. With two knights, only with a pawn, i believe.
Not really.
Whether it's possible with a bishop and knight depends on who's playing it. If it's Rybka or LC0 (or a fair crop of grandmasters who shall be nameless) it appears not to be possible.
With two knights either of these works and neither could really be described as only with a pawn.
It is possible to checkmate with two bishops but not both on one color since the king will automatically stay on the other color.
As long as "both Bishops" are not on the same color, it's clear sailing to checkmate.
This was one of the first exercises my father set me after teaching me the moves. I found it was actually clear sailing to stalemate. Several times in fact before success.
Played with computer and I was checkmated by two bishops https://www.chess.com/game/computer/74199499
Can you force mate with just two bishops and if so please explain how? Thank you!
presumed because it's necessary to have one's king.
Yes, but not presumed that the king can help. The king (or other potentially helping piece) can be stymied or immobilized.
All games involve both kings, but not all checkmates involve use of the offensive king.
Stop your trolling on here.
