Chess is anti-social? I guess if all you get to do is play online it can be. I go to a club every week and we are social. Of course, the club is mostly casual play, though we occasionally host tourneys (which are only social before and between rounds).

This is why we have the chess forums. We come down here with a funky nickname and we post every kind of crap can someone imagine , just to make sure that will not die bored from the time we spent playing chess.
