conditional moves

I use the conditional moves in the openings, middle game and end game. Sometimes they work because my opponent makes the moves I think he would make.
In the openning it saves some time and I might forget what I was going move later on. Specially when I see a trap and I set my moves in case he makes a mistatake and fall into it. Many times they don't make the move I thought he would make and those moves I put in the conditional just go off to never never land.
You also have the same feature of putting the moves in there. Try one and see if you like it. You just might be happy with it and see the feature in a different light.
Just last week I put a eight move mate with my opponent best moves in one game. I also put a five move mate and a three move mate for his worst responces. Well I was so proud if it came about that wanted to tell some one else besides myself. As it turned out he resigned before the moves were made. I never got the chance to see my moves in action.
I think Jetfighter introduced it to me a while back and now I love it.

Have you tried setting up a conditional move yourself? It's not too tricky (even for an adult) and I suspect your current distate for them would evaporate almost at once.
If you do try, the one part of the process I found odd when I first used the feature is that after you put in the move you expect and your reply you just check out of the game - there is nothing in the programming which acknowleges that the conditional move is set up.
Not quite true - you get a little Saved Line #1 box containing all the moves of the line, and if you are premium, you can add more lines and it shows you those as well.
