Gnrf he actually does play the engines moves check any of his solid games with stockfish or Komodo or Houdini. Next make sure you say something correct instead of embarrassing yourself. It is actually true.

I have checked some games on Kingscrusher's channel. He uses Komodo, Rybka, and Fritz. Carlsen makes engine moves in positions where he has an advantage and there is only 10 moves to consider, yes.
But not in a way as you say.
Even lichess's browser version of Stockfish with only 256 mb ram allocated points out his errors.

If an engine is weaker than a human and the human plays a very good move. It will consider it a bad move. Because it is programmed to play at a certain level. And even magnus has a crushing score over hikaru nakamura. My point is that magnus carlsen always plays with the engines and memorises each move they recommend him so he probably even knows how to play them. Actually it is true in the way I say. I watched most of magnus games and analyised them myself and with a top engine for many hours. And almost all of his moves are the engines top recommended moves so I still have to disagree with you and say that you are wrong.

Which game was it and which engine you used? What setting was the engine on? How many cores did it use in your computer and for how long?
I'd like to see just one of his games when 'almost all of the moves' are top engine choices.

I'm not attacking Magnus in any way, don't get me wrong.
I'm just saying that it's literally impossible that anyone plays top engine moves almost all the time.
So which games are the ones you're talking about?

They all [super GMs] try to make the best moves and these moves are very often the same moves the best chess engines would use.

Super GMs do not have the stamia of chess engines. Chess engines never get tired. Super GMs find it very difficult to make the very best moves, every single move, for a game of, say 45 moves.

Ok, my conclusion is that humans are better than computers as regards to elo/watt!

Of course, since humans have a basically fixed amount of watts, they'll always be torn apart by computers happy.png.

My vote is for Magnus. I've watched many videos and matches of Magnus and his game is simply perfect but Sockfish also plays almost perfect, so maybe the most likely result could be a draw.

The top ten programs on the current list by SSDF are all 3200 and above with the current version of Komodo topping the list at a whopping 3406 !!!!

Humans are done competing with chess programs.

1 Komodo 11.01 MP x64 16GB 1800X 3,6 GHz 3406
2 Deep Shredder 13 x64 16GB 1800X 3,6 GHz 3385
3 Komodo 9.1 MP x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3354
4 Stockfish 6 MP x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3331
5 Deep Shredder 13 x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3297
6 Komodo 7.0 MP x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3270
7 Komodo 5.1 MP x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3245
8 Deep Hiarcs 14 16GB 1800X 3,6 GHz 3207
9 Stockfish 3 MP x64 2GB Q6600 2,4 GHz 3205

Carlsen, or any other human being for that matter could even get a draw with white against Stockfish 8.

NOO, lets say something big and say that Magnus always plays with a performance of 3000 (it is not true) but even if he plays like a 3000 the best machine has over 3400, its a more than 400 points, also let us not forget that as a humans he can make stupid mistakes, just like all humans, for example So that almost has 2800 give a queen for free in the opening, but a machine doesnt have that problem, its like asking Usain Bolt (Fastest human on earth) to beat a Ferrari, but that is pointless, chess is for humans, machines are better, yes, but they dont enjoy chess, we do

bong711

The best human player does have a chance to beat Stockfish, Komodo and Houdini. Maybe 5% chance. Carlsen playing ONE game can do a David. A series of games, the winner is AI ofc.

universityofpawns

Soon there will be a synaptic link where you can plug a human brain directly into a computer to aid it.....maybe a cyborg brain will play better chess than an engine or a human, but maybe not.

see for yourself lol Carlsen still the GOAT tho. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDV-HpyDpsU&t=406s

The_Phenominal

yes he can beat SF and A0 too because engines also lost some games and how that was

rohitraaj

I think Carlsen would draw one game after 100 tries and win one game out of 1000.
