It is also perfectly ok to resign games you are winning.  There are many reasons someone might do this.

Wekk simply out, their aim was to achieve a draw, if your going to offer them a draw when you are boasting a winning position, then that is your choice, at the end of the day those who accept your offer will look back and say "thank goodness my stats are not effected so much". Its like teasing a tiger with raw meat, the tiger is hungry and at some point will snatch that piece of meat, that was its goal. You simply gifted it an opportunity to do. 

Mr.monster, perhaps underpromotion would be more to your liking. Try beating them with 4 knights. A word of caution tho this has been shown to cause brain hemmorage

Oh yeah. I'm really a 2200 player here, but I get so bored with dominating so many people that I either offer draws or resign. It's just no fun checkmating in the fewest moves. I mean, I'm so good, I just get bored.

It makes me feel so superior offering draws. So superior, in fact, that I must create a topic about it to let everyone else know just how damn good I really am!

Shraavanchess is correct. If you are in a winning position why not checkmate your opponent instead of offering a draw? Seems very foolish to do that and tells me you're not, in fact, in a "totally winning position." Perhaps, you're just grumpy about not getting an easy win?

When my opponent won't resign in a losing position, I "humiliate" him by promoting a pawn when I don't have to, chasing him all around the board when I could easily promote another pawn, then promoting another pawn, then chasing him around some more, etc.

Hopefully he'll eventually realize the utter foolish hopelessness of his position and resign. If not, of course I'll eventually mate him.

But OFFER A DRAW to humiliate him?? Not in a million years. When he takes it, I'm the patsy, the moron, the patzer, the zero, the bum, loser, rabbit, fish. If someone offers me a "joke" draw in such a position, I'm going to take it, pride intact, and intone, "You idiot" to myself all evening.

I recently had a guy on CC Chess tell me on chat "I'm going to either Checkmate you in one move or take your Queen, why don't you just resign."

I cut off Chat, blocked him, and slowed down my moves to one a day. I don't want any Dildo telling me I need to resign before I make my own decision. Two weeks later I am down to one move till Checkmate. I think I am just going to Timeout on the arrogant clown just to piss him off even more.

You should tell that guy to challenge Monster. Then block him again.

Yes..people who don't resign when they are in an extremely losing position are a bit annoying, however there is nothing you can do about it. 

I would suggest just waiting it out and finally waiting to win. 

I know some people are saying if they would offer draws in an OTB tournament in a losing position or try to get stalemate, but one thing I have noticed is that people gain an infinite amount of confidence and will over the internet because they know they don't have to look their opopnent in the face!

You guys, earlier I found a caterpillar in my house and slowly whispered into it's ears the horror and torture the world was about to bring it. Then it looked up at me and it said "Take me away from all this". I don't know what got into me, but I tied him very gently to a helium balloon and sent him floating away to oblivion. Now I sit and think why did I send him away? He was the only one who had talked to me in days, and was actually nice and now he's gone. I'm so fricking bummed right now.
