Do you enjoy Drawing?
I hate draws and never understood them.
Chess is a sport, therefore competition, draw? Come on!
Imagine watching a soccer game ending in a draw , boxing match ending in a draw, cage fighting ending in a draw, come on now ....
It's a fight , wild if you wish. You with a knife agaisnt a bear with huge claws, theirs no draw you fool
I used to play for a win even against titled players. 200 and up ELO is too much for my chess skills. Drawing is not that easy. I lose 80 % against superior players. And I find it very challenging to force draws.
I was just going over my USCF tournament statistics yesterday. I'm rated around 1700 USCF in slow tournament play.
I've played 5 games in my life against 2100+ opponents, 3 of whom were national masters (2200+), and lost all 5. Against those rated between 2000 and 2099, I have 1 win, 1 draw, and 5 losses. Against those rated 1900-1999, I've scored 3 wins, 7 draws, and 22 losses.
While some of those were while I was rated in the 1700s, many of those losses came from when I was a much weaker player. When I was in the 1300-1500 range, I already played 1800s and 1900s all the time at my local club. So my stats against 1900s may sound awful for a 1700, but most of those losses (and one or two of the wins and draws) were from before I reached that level.
My point is that against opponents rated1900+, I have 8 draws in my 44 games. I don't remember them all specifically, but I think I can safely say I was happy with each of those draws at the time.
When I'm crushing it and they find a cheap perpetual check..... not so happy.
If they can find a cheap perpetual check, I wouldn't characterize your performance as "crushing it".
The cheat detection team here is quite effective. I recall the time 8 years ago when there was a ton of players with top-GM ratings. Now they are all banned. ![]()
BS happens in US. I'm Russian, when I write something, it's my opinion. ![]()
Against stronger players, a draw is a half win. Specially when playing black, playing for a draw is a good strategy. And when the opponent is up a pawn, the task is even more difficult, but not impossible. I managed to draw against players 200 ELO higher and I'm happy with that result. Are you happy with a draw?
Fellow players have given me the nick name: "The Draw Master"
