I'm telling you the real skulls would be worth thousands!... but. its your ear wax and dust bunnies.  maybe dust balls are really common in the lockup.

Maybe, they should get new janitors?Foot in Mouth

as for bread, I'm drawn to the idea that you would risk starvation for the sake of winning acclaim as a great chess piece artisan. GJ!

Dubious-Duck

As an artist one must suffer. The value of my work is not measured in monetary gains though but the message ,truth and honesty this set embodies is where its real value lies. It feeds the souls of the multitude, the oppressed, the hungry.

Is GJ like GG ? What the hell man, why would you end your post with an insult?

thegreat_patzer

"GJ" = Good job

calm down duck, it was a compliment. it really was.

Hilarious.

Well well. You had to check.

Don't trust The Duck?

The rook and the pawn look rather dirty but the knight is a masterpiece. So you really went to a shop and said: "Give me a bag of those wobbling eyes, Mang. No further questions, just the eyes, please. Thanks. Mang"

LOL !

Very nice!  Laughing

I can't speak for Duck, but I have a sizeable collection of wiggly eyes. If I'm elected president of an arbitrary area of Earth, I will mandate that everyone within that region does.

I don't know who you are and have no idea what makes you tick. Nor your age, gender, background or what you occupy yourself with, Duckie.

But I can so see you as a text-writer for the 'Family Guy' enterprise.

Or as the chief-curator in the Louvre.

Hey Dubious-Duck, when your parole ends, next time try these techniques:

Why? So I can make another copied chess set ? Because that is what the world does not need - another copy of a copy. I lead from the front man, it might mean my ideas are often laughed at by the uneducated and ignorant but that is what being an artist means, pushing the boundries of human thought and the way we see the world. Underneath every sterile ,cardboard cut-out human out there is the dirt, feathers and dead cockroaches of Life screaming to get out. That is my message.

Look Marco, I am sure you are a nice guy and all, but to compare Doobi’s one-of-a-kind works of high art to something one could pick up in a hardware store or at the stationers, shows a serious lack of appreciation and elan. It is like comparing an about-to-fall Jenga stack with the Eifel Tower, a facial birthmark with the Mona Lisa, or indeed one's own efforts at micturition with the flow of the mighty Amazon.

On another note, Doobi (if I may be so bold!), please feel free to use my humble words in any way you see fit.  It is the duty of the bourgeoisie to sustain the struggling artist class with whatever crumbs are available. Metaphorical crumbs of course; us bourgeois need the actual breadcrumbs for unicorn schnitzel and other such delicacies.

Ooh I learned a new word today!

Wow....are you selling this?

Finally emerges art that represents the accretion of the dust of our daily lives, re-formed so as to recreate our very souls in concrete form, a perfect dialectical riposte to the charlatan Picasso's nefarious dictum. Thank you, Duck.

thegreat_patzer

I just KNOW ms kittens that micturition IS somehow going to be involved in his creative genius.  and that is why, with sad regret I am surely going to pass on buying his astronomically priced collection of dustballs...

Yeah, me too.

So KingT...how exactly are you familiar with 'micturition?'

Ahh darling Whip, are you referring to the word or the act? The word: I guess because I am a native English speaker and have been since I was a wee tot, so to say. The act: well that is a long story involving many players, each of whom has their exits and entrances, and I for one in my time have played many parts...
