I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m offended, but it does make me roll my eyes. If the marketing even hints at playing on my insecurities for having small breasts, I will be pissed.

Because some people are sensitive snowflakes. Why would it even be "misogynistic"? Those companies exist because women CHOOSE to use them and pay them money. It's not MEN paying for breast enlargement (or reduction). So can an ad for a medical company that perform surgeries on women, for women, be misogynistic? Absolute trash.
Women should decide if women are offended or not. Not men.

A breast enlargement company decided to sponsor the male dominated world of chess, wow. Maybe they needed a smarter demographic, lol. Their marketing director must be high.

having read the article, it appears that some women chess players are indeed offended. The idea that a breast implant manufacturer might want to be known for "cerebral sports" is a bit novel I must say. On the other hand, FIDE is not exactly rich (the treatment of Donations and Sponsorship in the audited accounts is inconsistent year to year which is odd) and they have to take what they can get, which has led to similar optics problems in the past.

It’s not being a snowflake when you’re constantly made to feel less of a woman if you have a flat chest, and these companies know that. You gotta wonder if FIDE would accept a sponsor that enlarged tiny penises.
