Maybe we should change the name of this thread to "Horribly Boring Chess Photos!"

batgirl

OK, I'll quit posting. Thank you, Javan, for all your contributions.

batgirl's pics are, imo, interesting enough for inclusion at this late stage, when genuinely great chess photos are very hard to produce.

They are of interest to me, anyway. If something substantial in terms of back-story could accompany them, all the better.

batgirl's ok. The rest of us should do as well.

I love photographs & paricularly b/w ones of chess-personalities which are indeed rare.

A forum like this is much better than many of the others around.

Yes, please carry on batgirl.  Am enjoying the chess trivia as well as the photographs (besides, you need to post a couple dozen more for me to have a chance to get one).

AndyClifton

Yeah.  More pics!  More pics!

Can anyone name these two GMs?

AndyClifton

Yes.  I name them Dave and Larry.

AndyClifton

Seriously though, I think the guy on the left is Taimanov.

Re: post #901 -- Everyone loves a little but no-one loves a smart.

Javan64

Andy, you got that right...now name the fellow on right.

AndyClifton

And the other one is (possibly) Kotov.
