For future reference, dumb is spelled with a 'b' on the end.  You may also want to look up the word "irony."

Thanks :D~

I'm not really sure that's ironic, but that is pretty funny.

But again~: If I got banned, I can make another account, add my friends back and the rank won't even be a problem~ then I cheat again :D!~ lol that is just dum eh~?

If you think that is efficent and effective use of your time here, then why are you even asking for counsel?  Clearly you have your ideas and agenda and no rational arguments will deter such a person from their choosen path.

Personally, I think there are more rewarding things to do, things of which the rewards will last far longer and have greater positive impact than cheating on a chess website.

I offer that if you belive this is the best use of your time then go for it, be accountable, and live with the repurcussion of your behaviours, which may include people realizing the supercilliouness of your position and choosen path as well as other more mundane effects such as bannings.

The biggest point to me is that I really don't care if you cheat and am flattered that you would feel the need to do so in order to beat me at a board game.

I too think it is a complete waste of time... even as I am typing right now :P

I haven't read any other posts.  Just responding to the Post Title because I think it sounds fun.

How do you know I cheat?

I know you cheat because you have nothing better to write about than cheating.

We learn from mistakes we make. If we are beaten by a cheater, we wont know, we will only take the experience away from the game. The cheaters out there who become dependent on their computers advice, are cheating themselves, and it shows when they go to real chess tournaments. If there are more people out there who can play a good game of chess, cheating or not, it helps out those who wish to learn from playing someone who is good.

ok so I used a database for awhile to help me learn standard openingmoes,I have a Batsford book of opens now that I may check insometimes to try to learn basic patterns, but I pick which moves to make , does anyone consider that cheating?I havent used it in a long time now but really think that I should to refresh my memory. what do you all thinkabout that?

Ok so I use a time machine to go back in time and win the lottery. So what if I use x-ray visors when playing poker. So what I brought Bobby Fischer back from the dead to play my games for me while smoke a joint.  So what if I smoke and use your lungs while doing it. So what if I use bumper guards while bowling a 300 game. So what, LOL.

If if I analyse a game by a player rated below 1200 and the computer says that he made no errors, he obviously cheated.

sounds to me you put a lot of effort into something you say you don't do

my question is if you win by cheating  does it improve you skill.do you feel better knowing you cant win on your own

I never cheat... -_-

Come to think about it... I cheated in grade nine because I wasn't able to understand the questions... (My native language is not english) So I cheated :D

I'd actually love to go against someone who's cheating. It would be like me playing against Gonnosuke I'd learn a ton and when i loss it would be a hollow win for the other player.

YOu are right!~ Whats the point of playing with 900s... when you can play with 2000s...

one problem not addressed here is that there are people who somehow manage to 'hack' this site's system and manage to control the clock. that is another form of cheating and you are not playing against a good player but against a lousy one. i have played more than 3000 one minute games here and i have seen some interesting things how cheaters manage to interfere with the clock, but im still here and playing because is fun and the great majority of people dont cheat

If you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras.  Live chess in its current version is well known to be full of bugs, which seems a far more likely explanation than elaborate hackery.

Perhaps all this cheeting is why you are bored bored bored

I don't think Pedro understands the Live Chess system?! For instance how he (or anyone, whoever...) could be trying to manually pre-load a move during last seconds of a game, but it gets nullified if opponents actual move is made quickly before the pre-load is accepted. Or how an opp's pre-loaded move (or string of moves) made first and activated will do the same thing. Naturally tho, we are all careful to know what we speak of, before accusing others of cheating.

[ Of course the way to deal with a pre-loaded string of moves (such as marching a pawn to the 8th) is to simply toss in a Check to disrupt the sequence. Or attack something and win it. This works better than declaring cheater & storming off the board in a huff, imo. I might be wrong ]

On the other-hand, there are just those times when the system simply refuses to take a move, whether from shear electronic perversity, or not having the piece being moved centered well enough, or connection frailty. Or because the Live Chess Moderator pushes the Secret Button that makes ALL our moves be refused in the last 10 seconds of the game ... as they pass the pretzels and laugh at our doomed and disdainful attempts to make a move, any move~! [Just kidding... I think!? Maybe... Undecided ]

On the Other-other-hand of course there is always Magic to contend with. Or Magick. Personally, I favor that old standby, "The Clock Curse".

"One o'clock~!",

"TWO O'clock~!"

but when people start to lag or their internet slows down, the clock will give them a few seconds to compensate.

TonicoTinoco

Why cheat? Online ratings are useless...

EndingPride

Yeah, the rating is ... pretty useless ... but just to pis them off :D
