I cannot get a game of 960

I just started playing 960. Can’t find any opponents. I set the game to any rating, still nothing. Is there even a community for this game online? If so, where?
I know I shouldn’t be surprised in 2018 by a troll, but it still sucks. That very old idea of “ask a question, get a real answer.” Nice, man

This reminds me again why I deleted FB, insta, Twitter, and began talking to humans again. Rumplestiltskins in caves are omnipresent. Unfortunately chess is all online these days. Does anyone have any constructive input?

Set the game to any rating and try different time controls, try different time of day. I doubt it is as popular as standard chess but people still play it. Or you could try daily 960.
Sometimes a prompt will come up saying you should try a different time control.
There are 960 tournaments regularly. Just check the tournament category in live play mode.

Maybe it's just different expectations.
I guess you were posting in hopes of a Q&A. Some kind of depository of info.
Some people on the forums come here to be social and silly. I wouldn't call Ronald a troll.
But anyway, none of that is too important. I hope you're able to find some 960 games in the future.

There are live 960 tournaments every hour I think. Go to live chess and click on the "Tournaments" tab.
You can also join BRAIN960 for live 960 team matches and tournaments.
