Yeah that’s because a lot of people make multiple accounts that are low rated. The chess.com percentile means nothing, FIDE or USCF means a little more but still not much- just because there are a lot of bad/low rated players doesn’t mean being above most of them is impressive.

yeah, that’s nothing too impressive, but if you keep up the grind you can become high rated

If you reach a high enough rating it’ll be impressive regardless of how old you are or how long you’ve been playing
im 1500 otb and 1800 rapid. is that a good thing?
