One way of implementing this would to have a set of nation-oriented iconic trophies (bald eagle for the USA?) that you could either award to yourself - or chess.com could do it.
One problem you may not have considered: chess.com does not validate nationality. One of my opponents changed national allegiance between every move.

If you become a paying member of Chess. com you will actually be able to look back over all your chess games, and statistic's and therefore see all the country's your chess has been to visit. Your suggestion of a log is a great idea thou. Maybe you should put it to Erik.
Man oh man, if I can just get my vehicles to stop breaking, that paid membership is all mine. That's my lame excuse for the moment, soon to be remedied once I get my latest car registered and all. I am looking forward to being a paid member. I've been addicted to this site from the jump, and it just continues to get better. What would be ideal would be maybe like a little generic world graphic with country flags of places I've won games at, and then like an alpha list below it. It would be a passport of chess

Anyone else out there interested in keeping a tally of the different countries they have played/defeated people from? I think it would be cool if there was some sort of 'Passport of punishment' type option that had some marker for each country I have won games from.
