Is chess unconsciously support racism?

Just because a white cop is involved in the death of a black person doesn't mean they're racist. There are many black cops involved in the death of white people and nothing is ever said about them being racist. Don't u believe in treating everyone equal? I believe in treating everyone equal.

Edit: Peaceful individual? Heck, George Floyd broke into a pregnant womans home, put a gun to her stomach, then beat her with the gun. He wasn't a fuggin saint like so many keep lying and pretending.

Everyone: I think there are people looking to destabilize the situation and set conflicts even on such non-political platforms as a chess site. I suggest everyone simply ignore such low-life provocateurs and do not respond.

I agree.

I've heard this before. I have many very conservative family members. This always goes down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories about how black people kill lots of white people but no one reports it. In any case you're right, but maybe not to the extent you'd like to think...

Yes.

But for example, if I'm married, and I walk in on my wife cheating on me, and in a rage I kill her. I'm not sentenced as harshly as if I kill a stranger for money.

Do you know why? It has nothing to do with equal treatment. It has to do with a logical risk assessment. How likely is this person to harm civilized society in the future? That's what lawmakers have to consider.

And obviously this extends to racism. If I, as a white person, kill someone because they're black, I'm a higher risk to civilized society than someone who kills their wife during marital problems. So it's not some stupid feelings based justice you see, it's very logical to treat racism seriously.

ur right Skakunchik. I just felt compelled to steer the lies back in a direction of reality and facts. But there's no need to let it drift in an argumentative direction, I agree.

The OP is obviously a fool trying to bait replies. Using him to dismiss a real topic is the same as running away.

llama44

Aww, look at that, they stopped posting.

Can't deal with someone who makes sense. All they know is their dumb conspiracy theories, and after rattling them off they're all out of ammo.

Damonevic-Smithlov

Ur right also. And the op saying he was just asking a question is the same as saying "is the op just a retarded race baiter?"  and then going "oh, I'm just asking a question, I'm not saying he is or anything".  It was just too obvious what he was doing.

llama44

I agree the OP is either an idiot, or pretending to be an idiot.

Guys it is absolutely pointless to even try to explain things to all the "opressed victims". They lack any common sense and are the most double standard people ever.
They will defend looting and destruction and will tell you a bunch of BS about how you are privileged.
Don't even waste your time.

Lion_kingkiller

@OP... is correct. Chess is both racist and discrimination. Note the lack of african and female players at master level. And @llama presumes @OP is an idiot, because he is coloured, and from the carribbean... no surprise there, given the Shame that is being perpetrated in the US. What a disgrace.

No one, on either side, is saying looters are good.

Don't fool yourself into an easy out. Don't pretend there aren't real issues here.

I couldn't give less of a sh!t about what some hyper-liberal hate monger wishes to shame me for.

Lion_kingkiller

Rioting and Looting are quite justified... given 300 yrs of opression, discrimination and evil african americans have suffered. Lion say... Go brother, go.

Lion_kingkiller

@llama... And I couldn't give a sh,t that your country is crumbling to ruins. What you deserve, tbh.

llama44

Again, no politician or sane person I've seen is defending looters.

Everyone wants looters to go to jail.

However only a few people want peaceful protesters to be tear gassed and shot with rubber bullets... of course I'm talking about none other than Cheetolini himself.

I'm not a nationalistic moron, so insulting the country I live in doesn't mean much to me.

Lion_kingkiller

An innocent civilian was Murdered... because of his skin colour, for gawds sake.

llama44

Well, like @damonevic-smithlov pointed out, we don't know the motives. It may not have been racial. Just because the cop was white and the dead person black doesn't make it racist.

But it's become symbolic of the racism that's existed in this country for a long time, and symbolic of the systematic mistreatment of black people by people in authority in this country, and as much as @damonevic-smithlov might want to scream injustice, the police officer's 2nd degree murder charge will be given due process just like anyone else. He'll go to trial where people will weigh the facts.

I crushed a box because I am anti-box, not because it was taking up space.

This is significant. Though cops are known at times to abuse their power, there may be a degree of vigilante in them knowing the justice system sometimes doesn't get it right.

I am not condoning vigilantism - it scares me, not for the criminals being taken care of when justice wasn't served but innocent people could be targeted and a lame excuse be provided. It's one big reason I fear going to a specific country.
