Not muted, just reported to staff, probably deservedly so but Kayt was so lovely I just wanted to be her friend and here I am spurned and dejected, a reject my friends! Perhaps she is very cautious, who can blame her? Perhaps she is only friends with people she knows, i will never know! Are there no poets in the house to capture the essence of my pain and crystallize it in words?

My sincerest apologies. I must admit I have been rather cautious about adding people to my friends list--most might know me under my other name :) No, I'm not Katrina Volokittens (that is a cool name though) but many people may know me as one of their favorite vegetarian rocker girls who blunder oh so much (especially if you ever played in live chess many years ago).
Typically when I'm logged on here, I'm just working and don't do any of the fun stuff, so I was just declining all requests. But, I see that maybe I should change my stance on this.
For years I blogged, posted pics, helped people, interviewed other members for fun, tried to find out what makes a chess player a true chess player... I was very open, but scaled back over the years on my content and quietly disappeared (kind of). I've been back for a while, watching and happy to see some familiar faces and meeting new ones, and bonding over our love of this amazing game! I'm still that zany, super smiley kind of girl :), just slightly reserved. (But I still love you people!)
Thank you so much for sending the friend's request :) It really does make my day that you think I'm I'm doing ok at my job and that the people that I talk to on here are happy :) and want to interact with me. Seriously, you have no idea how much I look forward to the smiley faces.
Please consider this as an apology and if you still want to, send me a request. I look forward to being your friend. :) Also, if anyone wants to challenge me to a game, I accept the turn based ones. I must warn you though, if any of you know me, then you know I'm probably one of the worst (but dedicated) chess players in the world. :)

Oh, trust me when I say the team is an amazing bunch! Not only the staff. but the moderators. I've seen from both ends and all really are kind people who want to make the site fun and amazing. I'm a lucky girl to have such kind and patient people in my corner. I'm pretty new at this whole "staff" deal and every day is a learning day for me :)
