London system

Ok MegasAlexandro, lets make a deal.

The London is practically good, theoritically crap. Do you agree with me?

RubenHogenhout

For me London system is correct but a bit boring. Very solid for white difficult to win for black but also it give not much for white. White often choses this if he don t want to lose. So it is save but drawish. Black can try to play for an  initiative but hard to win. It is equal.

Are you really gonna make me read that crappy Lakdawala book all of you London fish praise just to refute his whole analysis? ...

Well, you could settle for reading GM Ginger_GM at

https://www.chess.com/article/view/the-perfect-opening-for-the-lazy-student

and telling him directly about your views of what he wrote.

ChePlaSsYer

Gaawd, do you guys know what an argument is? The fact that a crap GM plays an opening does not mean it is theoritically good, specially if it is a GM that is always trying to sell you a crappy DVD about a crappy opening.

Get him to me and I will happily discuss the lines with him. He will probably chicken out.

I provided the link. Here it is again. You have the opportunity to go right now and post your insights. https://www.chess.com/article/view/the-perfect-opening-for-the-lazy-student

As if he red the comments.

Will you ever post analysis or just weird quotes? You look brainless to me, bringing quotes to a chess discussion site is ridiculous, bring moves or trash talk at least...

If you posted your discussion of lines, we could observe how much reaction appears. For now, we can only observe you choosing not to post discussion of lines.

If I ever make claims about having analysis worth posting, you will see it.

Perhaps you will identify published opinions agreeing with your view.

swaperi

what i observe on my side is london system is stable and way too aggressive if black plays normal moves and if not playing energetically on queen side..

RubenHogenhout

Well white in any case did never played it agressive against me with Kf1 but instead with 0-0 even with Be2 c3 and e3 and it was very boring. So it is also to my own experience. Who knows I will meet a Kf1 player ones! To have an exciting game! I am in for it.

The typical London system book has 200-300 pages. If you understand the main points you are far ahead of those guys who just want to play the same 8-10 moves against any black system. But then white has to learn as much theory as any other 200 - 300 pages repertoire books offer. At least you get equal chances and a system you understand well. Your practical chances are even a bit better then that.

cyberwarior

thanks for your respond and now I have learned basics of London system. I think it would suit me because I am a attacking and aggressive player pls share your rivew on this

RubenHogenhout

I see only Whites wins and I play this variation with black! Lol!

I play it like this...  1.d4 Nf6 2.Nf3 b6 3.Bf4 Bb7 4.e3 g6 5.h3 Bg7 6.Be2 0-0 7.0-0 d6

and then try to play e5 later.  I think white has not so much.
