IQ means nothing. Do a specific IQ test in maths, that will be much more relevant.

I took the test and scored 55, no wonder I usually stumble in stairs, what does this say about my chess future?

goldendog

Before pride cometh the fall & all that.  Humans are smart but so far we're not smart enough not to befoul our own collective nest.  The dinasours managed to rules for over a hundred millions years & it took an astroid to take them out, we're doing it (creating a mass extinction event) without an extraterrestrial help.  Time will tell how smart we really are.

I wasn't meaning this to be an IQ discussion, I wasn't trying to brag or anything :(

And Ozzie, for playing strength, do you think there is a certain phase or part of a game a player like me should be working on?

Thanks again everyone,

Wicksta85

I actually think you were trying to brag about your I.Q....otherwise what is the point of mentioning it.  Everyone has an ego so don't be self-decieved about your motives.

To your rating and the ability to become a master?

Yes I have no doubt that if you've only been playing for less than a year and have already reached 1800 level online you have a good shot.

However, looking over you live games vs. your online games I see a huuuuge change in level of play.

Your online chess seems almost like a different level of player all together.

Online CC chess and Live chess are a whole different ballgame, and not only that but generally CC chess is inflated by 200-600 rating points.

i thought IQ tests were supposed to be based stuff you need to figure out! What has me listening in history to know what document wanted Marx to recant! And  also there is american questions that i would not care to know.
