Sometimes engines go awry when they are playing other engines. This was a new one for me, however: http://goo.gl/OlH6F

After just a few seconds, however, it resumed "normal" thinking and saw that it was mate in only 70 moves. :)

But I bet the damned thing would play it out to the bitter end, while a human would--most humans--would just offer a draw after move 287 or so.
