Give me the Four Symbols Album, Disreali Gears, The Wall, The Black Album, Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, Good-bye, Eric Clapton Unplugged, Tres Hombres, and a Ride the Lighning, and that could last me for a long long time, oh and I meant to add Specter Trails, and Fire of an Unknown Origin, as well as Hotel California.

now who can name the groups who made these amazing records. first one to get all of them right gets a trophy

Zeppelin, Cream, Floyd, Metallica, Derek & the Dominoes, Cream, Clapton, ZZ Top & Metallica. For your additions: I have no idea on Specter Trails (even tried googling it!), BOC and The Eagles. Whew!

Being excessively aware is its own special brand of hell.

Zepplin, Cream, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Dereck and the Dominos, Cream, Clapton, ZZ Top, and Metallica again. Lastly BOC, Eagles.

Spectral Trails? That's one that I'm not sure of. Is that the album name or a nickname for a self-titled or numerical release? The only "Spectral" album I know is by Skyfire, but Swedish death metal doesn't really go wtih the rest of those artists.

I think you should get your little butt back to policing CPOTM, jetcrash. Who knows what's going to happen?!Laughing

Why I had Specter trails ( a Rush Album if I remember corectly, if not its not an album at all {yet if my musical skills have anything to say about it}) in my head I have no clue

Great taste in music jetfighter. Lyrics generally throw me off my game (so no Zeppelin, BOC, Eagles for me) but I find post-Barrett Floyd to be perfect, especially Echoes. I generally listen to albums rather than individual songs, but it's hard to find entire albums that are easy to listen to while focusing on the game. Thomas Newman might be good actually...

I can't figure out how to post youtube videos

I'm also a musician (mostly classical) and have tried to play some of the solos in Scheherazade, but would find music way too distracting to play chess like the other musicians in this thread.  Our "club" meets in the food court area of a local mall and has rock music in it all the time--it's ambient and I can tune it out.

I doubt I could concentrate with this though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rk9Svlygfws    .

to be clear, i meant imbed.
