Haha, seriously though, please don't "spam" too much about it (but you can discuss this in another thread or my notes of PM). I call it official because staff will never make a thread or something that can make us compete against each other. This is all purely for fun and I just continue my tradition of making those "prediction threads". I hosted one for #CarlsenAnand, the whole 2015 year and now this.

I'm putting my money on Carlsen to win ( well okay, no real money lol ). Since I'm not good at math so for the number of games I'll just say: a whole bunch etc etc.

Not yet, the colours are drawn at the opening ceremony. Thanks for mentioning it. I have to add the deadline, which will be before the draw of the colours (to increase unpredictability of small bonus)

Why focus on the the official word in the title? Is it recognized as official by the tournament organizers? No! By FIDE? No! By chess.com staff? No! By the man faster than dailypuzzle? Certainly!

A better question would be why would anyone want to start a new thread and call it official when this one is already created. Or why keep posting about it when OP has already answered in post #24 and ask you not to spam about it.

Yeah, that would be the mean (have you heard of mean, median and mode, we in the UK learn about them when we are 9/10 yo, maybe you knew them by a different name?).
