i wish there was a way to directly transfer chessbase analysis onto chess.com.... if so i might start a blog on my tournamnent games every month or so... maybe best games of each month? =) its a pain copying a ton of variations from chessbase to chess.com though

RoobieRoo

I gave up writing blogs for the very reason that there is a bais in promoting blogs that got even worse when v3 was implemented.  Some of my blogs got more hits than the so called top bloggers who were being promoted.

I don’t have Chessbase, so I don’t think I can help you, but I’ll try. Is there a way to copy and paste the PGN?

CheesyPuns

i can publish the game(s) online.... (http://view.chessbase.com/cbreader/2017/12/22/Game336020968.html, still a WIP)

but that seems kind of funky

CheesyPuns

Hi @robbie_1969! Do you plan on signing?

Martin_Stahl

Not 100% sure this is still valid but I think it may be.

Sorry, but it isn’t. We’re petitioning Chess.com to showcase more blogs on the front page of the site.

Well... are you going to sign? happy.png

A possibility! Or I could create a google sheet as @walidmujahid stated!

Yeah, I'm already a top blogger. We, as @chesster said, are trying to get chess.com to headline more blogs; especially those of amateurs.

Remember the old V2 days when the top blogs were automatically on the front page? happy.png

I will sign anything if it makes the promotion of blogs less baised

12 signatures and counting! Let's see if this works:

It looks great!

Though, you might also want to provide the link to this thread in the sheet as well as the post numbers -e.g #7 ... #21 etc- of the users that have signed. That way chess.com could easily see the post the user had relayed their "signature" through.

 HEADLINE BLOGGERS signed be me

Dear Chess.com community.

It came across to me on this date, Friday, December 22nd, 2017, as I was reading an eloquent blog, I realized we as the number one chess website in the world lack one attribute.

When the user clicks chess.com/blogs, he sees many posts written by the most proficient bloggers on Chess.com, both by titled and untitled writers.

The problem that I, for one, see is that many bloggers have invested immense amounts of time and energy in these blogs, and just maybe, Chess.com can give something in return.

Therefore, my formal request to the Chess.com leadership is to consider headlining more blogs, especially those of untitled players. There are many reasons to do so, though I will name a few:

  • This action will motivate more users to write on Chess.com, thus giving Chess.com future possibilities when they need more writers writing content.
  • When Chess.com headlines blogs, it only enhances the Chess.com community. This is an easy way to expose more chess content on the world's best chess website without having to pay even more titled writers to write articles.
  • Chess.com could sure use more club-level players expressing their ideas and lessons to the community. As long as the content is legitimate and appropriate, we have numerous ways we can learn from amateur chess players.

On this topic, I wish to list a few specific untitled users who blog regularly, and who certainly deserves attention from Chess.com (and yes, I did include myself!):

  • @chesster3145
  • @IndreRe
  • @EOGuel
  • @Fangbo

And on one last note, I do agree, however, that the Chess.com homepage needs not to be cluttered with untitled content, as titled players as well should get credit where credit is due. Therefore, I will request that at least one untitled blogger has a blog headlined per week.

If you are reading this in agreement with my written and persuasive statement which you just read, please simply type "HEADLINE BLOGGERS". Please put the words in bold if you are a blogger yourself! Once we get enough users to sign, this petition will be conveyed to Chess.com support as a suggestion.

Also, on that topic, whether you are an active blogger, or simply a fan of blogs/bloggers, please join the Blogosphere, virtually the only active group on Chess.com in relation to blogs.

I do thank Chess.com for all that they have already done for the Chess.com community!

plz add me there! i make questions, and suggestions and no one answers

DanielGuel

@josephyossi, add you where? To the list of bloggers deserving Chess.com attention? I don't see any blogs you posted.

chesster3145

I’m guessing either to Blogosphere or to the list of signatures.
