Elubas, since you're american, you should be familiar with George Carlin. Please listen to the man when he speaks about language and words. I think you could use some irony too, unless it's too heavy for your hollow bones and shallow hours. Spend your time better than in nitpicking - and remember, english is not the only language, though cultural ignorance is a fact for most americans. That's why Zappa snorts all over you...
Playing chess in Greece - No official OTB rating, then don't post

No idea who George Carlin is, but somehow I don't think he would improve my life :)
I'm not nitpicking to insult you -- I'd probably be at least as bad if I weren't speaking in my native language. Just because it's funny how words come out doesn't mean that person is stupid.
Although -- though I don't think I was insulting you, you did kind of bring it on with your original derogatory comment.

Well actually now that I think of it, I was sort of defending you Dailywater -- I was willing to play devil's advocate with your weird sounding expression :)

"I'm not nitpicking to insult you -- I'd probably be at least as bad if I weren't speaking in my native language."
So you're indirectly saying that my english is bad - we could argue that it's not Shakespeare, but come on, really?

Well, bad for a native, not necessarily bad for a non native. Although when you try to insult in a non-native language, you do so, clearly, at your own risk :)

Bad for a native based on what, on the "too less" ... are we still there?
Don't you people use this symbol: " ?
When writing something wrong intentionally, for different reasons?

So here's the world according to scottrf.
A guy (me) writes two sentences. In one of them he makes a huge mistake, and also the only one. How strange that this mistake is the only thing in " in the whole post. Coincidence! Or was i quoting a quote unwritten and unsaid? By me?
Also, don't take every chance to show your ignorance: it is very common in italian literature. And Joyce's Ulysses is full of examples.

Not that hard of a coincedence actually -- two is not a large number.
"Hey, I called heads on a coin flip, and then it landed heads! Could this be a mere coincedence, or did I know it was going to be heads all along?"
Uh, coincedence.

@daily.
I wouldn't have mentioned it if you weren't a sad little stalker that has followed me onto multiple threads. Jog on.

You wouldn't be the victim of stalking if you obey contitions and stay on topic.

Elubas, do your homework better: two is the number of sentences, not the number of words. But please, go on, it is entertaining to read those cute metaphors...

Scottrf, I am no stalker. I just happen to visit the chess forums just like you. When I see a self proclaimed forum boss, satirist, intelligent, or whatever, I cannot stop the urge to laugh and possibly write something (good or stupid).
Just put too less into Google for discussion.
@daily. I don't even know you are. You're dedicating a lot of time to me.
