If you really look at posts about who plays the Sicilian. 99+% of them are form people that barely know how the pieces move, and think because they have memorized some moves they are "playing the Sicilian. I can put a 5 year old behind the wheel of a car, start it, and let them have at it. Are your driving? Sure. Poorly...really poorly but they are driving. That is how 99% of the people here play the sicilian. All for the sake of sounding cool.

It’s kind of pedantic and pretentious to say that describing a game as boring equates to a lack of understanding. If you think a game of shuffling around making small improvements in positions in order to be up one pawn and beat your opponent to queening by one tempo is exciting, you and I have different definitions of exciting. Some people also think that accounting is fun. I don’t. Some people think knitting is endlessly fascinating. I don’t. A 140 move shuffle-fest just doesn’t do it for me, and patronizingly pointing at me and saying “you just don’t get it” is supremely obnoxious.
