As a rule of thumb, if you have to ask that question, don't resign.
Edit: Fixed. I'm giving general advice, is that acceptable?

ok, sorry everybody, I understand of course that I should not ask about ongoing games (would be sort of cheating).
I was going to hunt his king around with my queen, see if I discover some nice position and if not, resign since I don't feel this is a position for offering a draw.
This thread should probably be closed therefore... I will post the game in the analysis section, when it is finished.
OK, the game is over. Unfortunately, I lost due to a stupid blunder, but here is the link to the game:

Any comments are appreciated!
never resign in a game at beginner level until you reach about 1500 because your opponent can always mess up if they are beginners and stalemate you by accident ;)
well, I think I would now put it in a different way: "Never resign at beginner level because you still learn things playing these position until the end".
And then, you always have the chance of blunders (on both sides I should say ).
Hi,
I am a chess player on a beginner's level and I am not too familiar with end games. I am currently playing a game and I have somehow the feeling that I (playing white) should resign now. My opponets is equally rated as I am (according to that Chess-App we are using).
What do you guys think of this position (white to move) ?
Thanks!
