my opponent left like 48 hours when playing 3 days slow chess.after moving, the time move back to 3 days ,why is this so? than what is the point of slow chess if ur opponent time always go back to the same? I am just thinking it will take like AGES to finish 1 game

It does take a long time, yes. The point is that they can take up to 72 hours per move, and are not penalized for using any or all of those 72 hours. Daily schedules would get in the way and give one side a huge advantage otherwise.

Your game: Started: Oct 3, 2017

Time: 1 move per 3 days.

This isn't as long as it may seem, 1 move per 3 days is a sensible time control allowing for any unforeseen circumstances where you or your opponent were unable to make a move for a couple of days, instead of losing the game on time.

Theoretically this could take 50 moves x 3 days= 150 days, but of course it won't.

You've just done your 17th move in 16 days which is currently 1.0625 moves/ day, there is nothing to stop you both completing the rest of the game in less that a minute if you both wanted.

If you've already worked out all calculations/ continuations for your next move(s), then do anything else you like, chess related, like get another game going, lessons, tactics or life itself wink.png

If you want Daily Chess to be quicker, then next time try 1 move/ 1 day, be careful not to timeout though.

Your math is good

Why do people whine about opponents taking their allotted time? You knew the time control when you began. If it's too slow to suit you, choose a faster one next time.

Mommy LIED to you; you're not special & don't deserve any special treatment. Get over it!

The lamest are the ones with a diamond membership who are allowed to 'go on vacation' without using time. So weak.

You are also allowed to go on vacation during Daily Games. This must mean you are lame also.

(The paid membership just allows the vacation to kick in automatically and allows more than 30 days to accumulate.)
