Everyone has to face this problem however, it's not favoring anyone.
Tactics Issue

My advice. Ignore the silly time limits. take all the time you want. Just try to find the best move. Your speed will improve as you begin to recognize the patterns. I don't care for the time limits either. The whole point of tactics is to find the best move, not necessarily how fast you can zip through the puzzles. Its not how fast you mow, its how fast you mow well. :-)

I feel that if you take an extremely long amount of time you should be awarded zero points instead of being penalized. That would also put more focus on getting tactics right rather than doing them quickly.
I believe that it without stating, but the above statement is made with the condition that you solve the tactic.

It seems to me that chess.com just can't get the tactics system right. I'm a terrible bullet player so every tactic takes me longer than the expected time for full points. Once I manage to get on a roll, I get on average about 3-5 points per tactic. Then If I get ONE wrong it's -10 points off. It's upsetting to me because chess.com puts a rating on each tactic, and for a lot of harder problems I feel like they are being stingy giving it rating points. Because the problem rating can be random at times, this makes gaining tactics rating points harder than it should be. You can get a few hard questions right that are high rated, and then get one or two harder problems wrong which happen to be a lower rated problem. We need to improve the tactics system.
Honest question: why do you do tactics problems?
Edit: I fall for necrobumped threads every time. Every time.
