Take the chess.com "Tour of Duty" Challenge

I've noticed that sometimes certain perfectly decent and civil threads here languish while threads full of trolling and controversy flourish.  In a likely futile attempt to correct this situation, I hereby declare the chess.com "Tour of Duty" challenge:

"I, [insert handle here], hereby pledge to make within the next twenty-four hours a reasoned, thoughtful, comment on at least a dozen posts in the chess.com forums.  I will also not post silly pictures or call another member a patzer unless they really deserve it, and even then I'll try and resist unless they are really, really asking for it and ilikeflags hasn't yet uploaded a picture and/or pfren hasn't yet said something sarcastic.

Sincerely,

[insert handle here]"

OK, here I go.

Do I need to take this pledge if I try to act this way every time I visit the forums?  I'm not saying I won't make a wisecrack once in a while, but I try not to troll or be controversial.

Nah, I'm just taking it once, and even that is a challenge - so far I've become mired in several threads before getting halfway through the gauntlet..

There would have to be enough well reasoned arguments/debates for anyone to qualify.

And this is not one of them.
