WOW! You must be a very good player at chess. This is my first year of chess and I lost a lot more games than I've won. I think pros would have to learn more and more strategies every day to make sure that every game they should have a very good chance of winning.

Yes, I have played at a few US Amateur Team events. I enjoy playing on a team with 3 other players trying to beat out the other 4 board team each round. Very fun stuff!

I used to enjoy playing for my local team - the Rhondda chess club - back in the 1980's when I was a teenager. Playing as part of a team is one of the things I miss most about playing for a club.
It will be nice when Chess.com has tournaments up and running. Not quite the same as playing OTB, but it should be good! 
I have played team chess now in 3 different countries, Portugal, USA, Germany. Team play is much more popular in Europe than in the USA. I have very much enjoyed playing for teams even though there is more stress/responsibility than when I play as an individual. Have you played for a team? Would you like to? What are your thoughts on team chess competitions? What do you see as pros and cons of team play? After 10 years running I have decided to not play for a team/club this year, I need a break!
