Either MarcoBr444 or Hillary Clinton post #41

I have 2 votes, mine and from CookedQueen.

I don't know why only titled players are elegible.

Only titled players are chess players?

You aren't a chess player?

This is worse than North Korea.

Morphy

the kid from "searching for bobby fischer" he offered draw to at the end of the movie when he saw he could get the win.. that was pretty damn classy of him.

Rensch.

Although he's far from, say, Fischer or Morphy, he's funny and likeable.

If we are going to pick a favorite chess player based on chess merit alone, then I choose Morphy.

Sure, some people think that modern grandmasters would destroy Morphy pretty quickly, but I argue that the modern grandmasters would be much worse if it weren't for Morphy's contributions (he demonstrated chess principles he'd pretty much discovered himself in his games before Steinitz adapted them) to chess.

Loving the attack, I love Tal.   I also like the games of Tarrasch.
