what is the best opening?

This topic is more on other people’s opinion for the best opening in chess. First off, I think that e4 is a good opening but there is the English opening, the English is like the inverse of the Sicilian,most of my friends say that the Sicilian is the best but I wouldn’t agree as much. Because yes it type of defence but still, when you play the knight behind the pawn, it looks weird. My chess teacher says that d4 is really good witch puts me at disadvantage, because I don’t study d4 that much. He plays against me all the time.
So e4 d4 or c4

E4 is best as a new player as you can play easy openings like Italian or 4 knights to develop which is something to learn. 😁😂
I play and prefer e4
Get the A-E ECO ,play through them and see what you like. (Encyclopedia Of Chess Openings...some cool stuff there

best is e4 because it allows you to follow up with Ke2. though f3 Kf2 is pretty epic, too.
