My playing style is like spilling butternut squash soup on the floor and trying to clean it up with Kleenex.
What's your playing style?

I try not to drop a piece right in the opening, but I don't always succeed
I do! (oh sorry...you said "not").

My style in any given position over the board, resembles someone rearranging the furniture in their living room. Pointless, random, and my thoughts are like, "What's that piece doing over there? It would look better if I moved it over here."

My playing style is:
inferior move, inferior move, stupid blunder, some tactic that almost makes up for it except that they did something I didn't expect and saved themselves.

To play fairly solid for about twenty moves and then blunder :( Once this happens (usually from missing a threat) I collapse. Happened in 3 of my games in the National Open. I was winning in all 3 too which makes it worse.
Nothing compared to my last game lol. Guy was pushing hard and I pushed back then promptly missed checkmate for two full turns.
Heh...
The game then lasted for quite awhile after that little miss. I won...but geesh.

About a year ago, I missed a checkmate in two against an opponent rated much higher than me here at the Las Vegas Chess Club. We wound up drawing. He hadn't played in a long time so he was very rusty, but it still would have been a nice win.
I ended up in a position like this as white and made the wrong rook move.
What's your playing style? Apparently, from what people tell me, my playing style is unorthodox. Not sure if "unorthodox" is a playing style, but oh well.
