Teen. I have played a lot of blitz.
I'd say 45/5 is ideal, though slower can also be good.
Blitz is often nonsensical. Blunders are often made even over 2000 level. However, blitz can be good for practicing your opening repertoire.

I am teen, like 3|0 the best and it is online time control. OTB I like 15|0 the best. It is exciting to play quickly and perfect for high theory attacks.
male Young Middle-Aged Adult Online: 3 0 to help keep people honest; less than that and it becomes a mouse race. OTB: Any time is fine, but I normally only use 15-30 minutes per game. The longer time controls just means I use the bathroom more not more thinking time.
Teen. I like 10 0 the best because you have enough time to think, but the games don't take too long. Anything below 3 0 is a test to see who has better wifi, not to see who is actually better at chess. Anything longer than 15 0 takes too long, in my opinion. On a real chess board, I prefer 25 10.
